What a lock is

A lock is a vault owned by the program, plus an on-chain record of the recipient and schedule. Tokens can only leave the vault on that schedule, through a release instruction that anyone can send. Every lock has a public page; the Token Lock Verifier lists every active lock for a mint.

Two schedules

All at onceThe full amount unlocks on a single date. For a self lock, the date can be moved later but not earlier.
Cliff, then vestingNothing unlocks before the cliff. An optional first portion unlocks at the cliff, then the rest in equal steps until the end date.

Automatic delivery

Solstack's crank checks every five minutes. It delivers a lock or vesting step once it's due, and a continuous vest once 1% of the total has unlocked. The lock page also has Deliver now and Claim buttons. The final delivery closes the lock and refunds its rent to the creator.

Options you choose at creation

CancelableThe creator can end the lock early. Unlocked tokens still go to the recipient. Off by default.
TransferableThe recipient can hand the schedule to another address.
NameUp to 32 bytes, stored on-chain.
Cancelable and Transferable can't be added after the lock is created.

Token-2022 mints

Transfer fees apply on the way in and on each delivery. Transfer-hook and non-transferable mints are refused. Mints with a permanent delegate are flagged, because the delegate can empty the vault.

What it costs

0.02 SOL to create a lock, plus the network fee, about 0.005 SOL of rent (refunded when the lock completes) and about 0.0015 SOL for the recipient's token account. All other actions are free.

The Token Locker program is unaudited and deployed on devnet only.
