How to revoke mint & freeze authority
Revoking the mint authority fixes a token's supply, and revoking the freeze authority means no balance can be frozen. Each takes one signature.

Step by step
- Step 1Connect walletThe wallet must hold the authority you're revoking.
- Step 2Open Token ManagerPaste the mint address.
- Step 3Pick Revoke mint authority or Revoke freeze authorityAvailable only for authorities your wallet currently holds.
- Step 4Sign the transactionSets that authority field to none on the mint.
- Step 5RevokedThe change shows in Token Inspector immediately.
What each authority controls
| Mint authority | Can mint new supply. Revoke it to fix supply. |

| Freeze authority | Can freeze any holder's account. Revoke it so nothing can be frozen. |
Before you revoke
- Mint all the supply you'll ever need.
- Check the decimals and total supply.
- Revoke the freeze authority last.
Revoking an authority can't be undone.
Revoking during creation instead
The SPL and Token-2022 creators can revoke both authorities when the token is created. To revoke later, use Token Manager, then confirm the result in Token Inspector.
