How to revoke mint & freeze authority
Fix supply or make balances unfreezable, one signature each.
Step by step
- Step 1Connect walletMust hold the authority you're revoking.
- Step 2Open Token ManagerPaste the mint address.
- Step 3Pick Revoke mint authority or Revoke freeze authorityAvailable only for authorities your wallet currently holds.
- Step 4Sign the transactionSets that authority field to none on the mint.
- Step 5Locked inVisible immediately in Token Inspector.
What each authority controls
| Mint authority | Can mint new supply. Revoke it to fix supply. |
|---|---|
| Freeze authority | Can freeze any holder's account. Revoke it so nothing can be frozen. |
Do this before revoking
- Mint all the supply you'll need.
- Confirm decimals and supply.
- Revoke freeze last.
This cannot be undone.
Revoking during creation instead
Both creators offer a revoke-on-creation checkbox. Use Token Manager to revoke later and Token Inspector to confirm.
